COTiDALES was commissioned by The Melbourne Festival 2001.
It was written for Michael Kieran Harvey and my most loyal colleagues in The Arditti String Quartet.
In the language of mariners, the words co-tidal line are used to indicate on a map the geometrical points at which a tidal level (an especially high tide) occur simultaneously.
I chose to use the title in Spanish, my native language.
