Percussion: vibraphone; 2 roto toms (large, small); side drum; bass drum (with foot pedal); 3 suspended cymbals (high, mid, low); 1 large sizzle cymbal; hi-hat; tambourine; triangle; glass chimes; guiro (mounted on a stand); flexatone; railway guard's whistle; bird warbler; devil's tongue; bicycle pump; sheet of paper, suspended (e.g. A4 typing paper); a length of plastic hosepipe (hold one end still and whirl the hose overhead like a lasso - ideally the resulting harmonic series should be based on F#, but this is not mandatory!).

Two balloons are also required. The narrator may need to be amplified. Cued electronic audio samples will be provided digitally along with the hire parts.
